Biomes are simply the kind of environment and ecosystem around the location
Plains
A plains is a simple flat plateau, typically being grassy with few trees and such, typically filled with flowers and other plants.
Forest
Forests are dense locations filled with various trees and animals, foods such as mushrooms and such exist in forests with various plants, especially appearing in more deep forests.
Mountains
Mountains are typically large heights, usually rocky, sometimes with small bits of snow, Mountains are infamously hard to climb with no special gear and usually are some of the most remote areas one can go to.
Ocean
An ocean is a large, open area of water, typically salt water, with a large depth, Oceans are home to various amounts of deadly water predators such as fish and sea creatures.
Jungle
A jungle is a very tall forest of trees, filled densely with usually highly exotic plants and animals, Jungles are filled with extremely strange plants and are usually untouched by mankind.
River
A river is a long strip of water, typically filled with fresh water. Various fishes exist in these river streams and the water here is able to be consumed safely by boiling the water, compared to salt water.
Lake
A lake is a small contained pool of water not connected to the ocean, but usually connected by a river of some kind. Lakes are very popular amongst fishers for typically they are home to amphibious creatures and fish.
Urban
An Urban Biome is typically one filled with cities and towns, buildings and such, Urban environments are typically loud and filled with people, a lot of diverse people in one location can lead to crime of some kind, or other more special moments.
Swamp
A swamp is a muddy and foggy environment that is lush with various flora and fauna alike. Swamps are permanently filled with water and are also known as Marshes, they’re a foresty wetland with various strange creatures and materials to be found.
Snow
A snow biome is typically filled with small frozen water (ice) particles compacting together and creating snow, these biomes usually are moderately cold, Not much vegetation typically exists in a snow biome.
Desert
A desert is a barren landscape, usually with no vegetation or little to no life to be seen. Living conditions in deserts are quite hostile, due to the lack of vegetation, deserts go through processes of erosion, leaching and stripping (known as denudation), usually causing the ground to be turned into sand.
Ice
Ice Biomes are biomes of frozen water, they’re known as Glaciers and other names, and are typically solid, compared to snow biomes, which are more softer, Snow can be found in Ice Biomes, but Ice biomes are much more blue in their appearance compared to a snow biome, which is mostly white.
Cavern
A cavern is a term for an underground area, places like caves, ravines, and open, underground spaces. Caverns are typically enclosed and are deep underground, with holes leading to the surface in multiple locations, with little-to-no open areas. Many dastardly creatures lurk in the darkness of these caverns.
