Biomes and Terrain are extremely important in all environments, determining how you travel in an environment, as well as the kinds of encounters found in the environments. Biomes determine the temperature of locations and what kind of gear is typically needed in those environment, certain items cannot survive in different types of Temperature, or maybe in a swamp you’d want something more waterproof to compensate for the murky waters.

Biomes

Biomes are simply the kind of environment and ecosystem around the location

Temperature

Temperature is the amount of heat a location has, when something is lacking in temperature, it becomes colder. Temperature completely affects the climate, vegetation and the kinds of creatures that face it, as well as if you’re able to survive in that climate without any special gear.

There are 4 positive and 4 negative levels of temperature, with level 0 being average, Positive levels of temperature is when something gets hotter, while negative levels are temperature is when something gets colder.

Temperature is determined by the Biome and the GM’s decision, various abilities may also change the temperature of an area or an item to have these effects.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere is what the air of a planet or domain generally has the primary makeup of, different atmospheres allow different kinds of creatures to thrive. Different organisms behave differently in different environments, likewise, different chemicals can be breathed in and cause certain effects when constantly inhaled. Atmospheres should be factored into account whilst travelling the universe.

Terrain

Terrain is important as this dictates how one can travel through it. Different terrains behave and perform differently when moved through.
