Halflings are typically very short and skinny creatures, with a very child-like appearance, known for their optimism and their innate, almost supernatural luck. These humble fellows love to take the time to appreciate the world around them, assist a friend, and be in tune with their surroundings, very easily becoming the life of any event, they love to break the ice.
Characteristics
Halflings are short, having small, slender frames, with round ears. They appear relatively human-like otherwise, other then these major physical attributes.
Halflings are relatively humble, and happy creatures, similar to a beloved grandparent in their demeanour, they enjoy the little things the most, and are seen often reminiscing and taking in their environments, making sure to treasure them often. They value their happiest memories above all else.
Native Environments
Halflings usually live in lowland regions, in small hobbles, despite their humble nature, they are very much maximalists, focusing on making their surroundings beautiful and having the most picturesque views, not to impress others, but to enjoy them everyday.
History
Halflings are known to not participate in much wars, if at all, usually due to being confused for children. They tend to travel away from wartime, or solve situations diplomatically, avoiding such confrontations entirely as a species. They have always chosen to live humble lives.
Society & Culture
Halflings have a simple society, not focusing on class or status, they simply assist others around them, sharing their goods to those that need them, and making sure their friends eat with them, whom they consider closest to them. Most Halflings tend to get a wanderlust once they reach adulthood, exploring and travelling the world around them and experiencing such events, and some usually stick with it, becoming adventurers, mercenaries, guards or other similar jobs.

Halfling Racial Traits
Racial Modifiers – When not choosing a subrace, you gain a +10% to two ability scores of your choice.
Size – Halfling range from Tiny, Small and Medium sizes.
Movement Speed – Halfling move at 1m/TP.
Languages Known – Halfling start knowing Babbel, for every +5% Intellect Modifier they have, they may learn an additional language.
Major Traits
Lucky – Halfling gain the ability to reroll any action for 0 TP cost that they or any others within a 20m range that the Halfling can see and take the more desirable result an amount of times equal to their level per day.
Optimistic – Halfling are immune to all emotion based effects, and remain optimistic in all situations. When a Halfling attempts to comfort a target, flip a coin, on heads, the roll automatically succeeds, all emotion based effects are removed, and the target is immune to all emotion based effects for 1 round.
Child-Like – Halfling look identical to Human Children, receiving a +50% bonus to all actions made to disguise themselves as children.
Minor Traits
Emotionally Intelligent – Halfling automatically succeed on all actions made to be aware of others emotions, moods and other social etiquette, no matter how subtle.
Humorous – Halfling receive a +25% bonus to all actions made to entertain or make others laugh.
Hearty Eaters – Halfling saturation drain is halved, only being required to consume a days worth of food every 2 days.
Halfling Subraces
Subraces are variants of the main race that change the abilities and aesthetic of the race, Subraces are not mandatory to choose, but you may only choose one subrace for your character.
Lightfoot
Lightfoot Halflings are known to be exceptionally light, as the name implies, with a much slender body then other Halflings, they tend to be drawn to more morally grey jobs, either graverobbing, burglary, or adventuring, their body is always too light to trigger any traps, making great thieves and trap checkers.
Lightfoot Racial Modifiers – Lightfoot Halfling gain a +10% Agility, +5% Nerve and a -5% Muscle
Light Body – Lightfoot Halfling do not trigger any pressure sensitive traps. They only need to consume half of the amount of food required.
Sneaky – Lightfoot Halfling receive a +10% bonus to all Stealth actions, they automatically succeed at all actions to move through targets without the target knowing.
Locksmith – Lightfoot Halfling can choose to automatically unlock a device an amount of times equal to their level per day.
Stout
Stout Halflings are very strong and bulkier then your standard Halfling, usually being incredibly courageous, they are amazing at taking blows and being resilient, especially in the final hour, where survival matters most.
Stout Racial Modifiers – Stout Halfling gain a +10% Fortitude, +5% Muscle and a -5% Agility
Hope – When a Stout Halfling reaches death’s door, they can immediately get back up with 100 HP. This ability can only be performed once per week
Hold Your Ground – Stout Halfling receive a +25% bonus against all actions made to move past them or actions made to distract other creatures
Giant Slayer – Stout Halfling receive a +10% bonus to hit and damage per size category above the Stout Halfling
Culinary
Culinary Halflings are known for their expertise in cooking, making some of the most unique food, eating strange combinations of food from various cultures and cuisines, they travel quite often to taste and create meals for others. No one loves food more then a Culinary Halfling.
Culinary Racial Modifiers – Culinary Halfling gain a +10% Vitality, +5% Senses and a -5% Psyche
Cuisine Expert – Culinary Halfling automatically succeed on all actions to identify any kinds of foragable food, and to tell if it is poisonous or not.
Yum! - Culinary Halfling may double the saturation amount of a meal for 0 TP an amount of times equal to their level per day.
Leftovers – When consuming any food item made by the Culinary Halfling, the target regenerates 25 HP, MP and SP for 1 minute.
