Sheathes come in many shapes and sizes, usually made to accommodate for the weapon, a sheathe can be as simple as a hook and weapon ring, or something else, like a leather strap made to secure a firearm onto your body, or a whole sheathe made to protect a sword or melee weapons sharpness, or secure it to themselves so no one can steal it off of them.
