Creatures of pure dark energy, the Drow is one side of the coin for determining the energy of the cosmos, being a largely feminine presenting race. The Drow are known for their mysticism, connection with space itself, and a deep, inherent understanding of others emotions, being some of the best mind readers and most down-to-earth group of people that most people will ever meet. They show others kindness, compassion and love.
Characteristics
Drow have very long, pointed ears, known by Dwarves as “Knife Ears”, their skin usually ranges from blue, purple and grey, and are usually tattoo’d with significant sigils, warrior marks and other beautiful, intricate designs on their body, to determine their rank to others without having to inform others directly. These tattoos usually glow when the Drow cast various dark energy powers. Despite being largely feminine presenting, Drow have the ability to change their anatomy, sex and gender while resting.
Drow are quite emotionally connected to the world around them, being more creatively driven then their Elf counterpart, they tend to draw art, write, and focus on more creative pursuits, being both naturally gifted and talented at such forms of work.
Native Environments
Drow typically exist in darker environments, due to their natural affinity with Dark Energy, they have perfect vision in darkness. They tend to build cities underground, in large cave systems, or on meteors and asteroids. More Drows will typically be active then Elf’s during the night, due to their desire to stay awake during the dark hours, allowing cities to have a highly prominent night life.
History
Since the beginning of the Great Evolution, Drows have co-existed with Elves in a sexually dimorphic way, being a largely feminine presenting race, they originally did not get along with elves during their lifespan, and have many artwork dedicated to the wars that were performed by both sides.
Society & Culture
When drows take over societies, they become largely Matriarchal, with a very domineering presence for other Drow, they usually typically co-exist and mingle with Elves, as they have been together since the start of time to them themselves. Drow Society relies on those who are the most assertive, dominant and most skillful.

Drow Racial Traits
Racial Modifiers – When not choosing a subrace, you gain a +10% to two ability scores of your choice.
Size – Drow range from Small, Medium and Large sizes.
Movement Speed – Drow move at 2m/TP.
Languages Known – Drow start knowing Elven, for every +5% Intellect Modifier they have, they may learn an additional language.
Major Traits
Dark Energy – Drow naturally harness Dark Energy inside of them, they may learn any power with the Dark descriptor and use them at no MP or TP cost, even if they wouldn’t be able to access them normally. They regenerate 200 HP, MP and SP per round in Ultradarkness.
Drow Ears – Drow have long, pointed ears which allow them to hear double the distance. They gain a +50% bonus to all actions made to eavesdrop and listen to conversations, and can hear the general thoughts of those that are within 10m of them.
Emotion Sense – Drow gain the ability to sense the emotion of all creatures that the Drow can see in a 20m radius, they can detect the exact emotion coming from the creature, and all creatures feeling an intense emotion in this radius are immediately revealed to the Drow. all creatures that attempt to hide their emotions using non magical means automatically fail against this ability.
Minor Traits
Creativity – Drow receive a +20% to all actions that are creative or use creative thinking in nature.
True Darksight – Drow can see in any form of Darkness perfectly, even if it is magical. They are blinded for 1 minute when entering any form of lighting that is brighter then dim light.
Depthstrider – Drow receive a +20% to all actions while in underground areas, they cannot be exposed via flanking while underground.
Drow Subraces
Subraces are variants of the main race that change the abilities and aesthetic of the race, Subraces are not mandatory to choose, but you may only choose one subrace for your character.
Nyxian
Drawn to the Chaos of Dark Energy, these free spirited Drow call themselves Nyxian Drow, with their natural chase for the next biggest thing, these Drow are known to cause chaos and dismay, performing pranks on all, and rebelling against the system.
Nyxian Racial Modifiers – Nyxian Drow gain a +10% Psyche, +5% Fortitude, and a -5% Intellect
Agent of Chaos – Nyxian Drow have a 10m aura that they can turn on and off for 0 TP cost. Each time an action is performed, a d4 is rolled, on a 1, this action is a critical failure, and on a 4, this action is a critical success. The Nyxian Drow can choose who is affected by this ability.
Darkness’s Embrace – Nyxian Drow generate a dark field around them when entering darkness, for 1 minute after entering dim light or brighter areas from an area of darkness, the Nyxian Drow is treated as if in Ultradarkness, and all attacks performed on the Nyxian Drow have a -50% chance to hit.
Shadow Pocket – Nyxian Drow gain the ability to store one item or projectile inside of a dark pocket for 0.5 TP, they may activate this ability defensively. This ability completely negates one attack. Once this ability is used again, it launches the attack wherever the Nyxian Drow chooses. This attack has all of the effects and modifiers of the original attack. This ability cannot be used while exposed.
Lorian
Lorian Drow are typically seen as Nobility in society, portraying a brooding energy over other subraces, they focus on the more superficial, however, are quite intimate in understanding history and learning what came before us.
Lorian Racial Modifiers – Lorian Drow gain a +10% Senses, +5% Social, and a -5% Muscle
Nobility – Lorian Drow receive a +25% bonus to all actions made to deal with higher society, rich people and higher class etiquette.
Lorekeeper – When investigating an area, a Lorian Drow gains up to one sentence of truthful information about the area around them.
Dark Recall – When residing in darkness or darker, the Lorian Drow can ask one question, to create five different one-worded answers in a small space, these answers may or may not be relevant to one another. This ability can only be performed once per day.
Dokkheim
Dokkheim Drow are warriors, fighters that are on the frontlines, perpetually fighting an endless war in their hearts and on the field, they live for battle, and live for confrontation. Naturally trained soldiers, they harness the darkness to channel it into their weaponry.
Dokkheim Racial Modifiers – Dokkheim Drow gain a +10% Agility, +5% Muscle, and a -5% Nerve
Dark Warrior – While in darkness or darker, Each weapon that a Dokkheim Drow uses is affected with a Major Curse Enchantment. The enchantment lasts for 1 minute after exiting darkness.
Sadomasochist – When Dokkheim Drow deal or receive 50 damage or less from an attack, they restore 50 MP and SP.
Shadow Step – Dokkheim Drow may teleport to a space that they can see and is in darkness or darker up to 10m away for 0 TP cost an amount of times equal to their level per encounter. This ability may only be used in darkness.
Faelan
Being drawn to the Fae, the Faelan Drow are creatures that combine their Darkness with the Wonders of nature, both group having a common ground with emotions, the Faelan Drow tend to be heavily emotionally driven, having the ability to alter the feelings of others at a whim, they are known for their manipulative and fae-like nature.
Faelan Racial Modifiers – Faelan Drow gain a +10% Senses, +5% Nerve, and a -5% Fortitude
Nature Touched – Faelan Drow gain a +20% bonus to all Naturalism Powers, all animals and plants are neutral towards Faelan Drow.
Nightshade – Faelan Drow may spend 3 TP to turn any flower they see into nightshade, being able to extract Nightshade Poison from it safely. This poison will become inert within the hour. Faelan Drow are immune to all poisons.
Deep Emotions – Faelan Drow can choose to alter the emotions of those around them, the target must take a Composure action (DC Faelan Drow’s Senses Modifier), on fail, the Faelan Drow changes the emotions of the target. This ability can only be active on one target at a time.
