A wondrous shadow creature that lives in the remains of old furniture, devices and gear, when items are left lost for decades, a Discorprolythid is born inside of them, with a natural child-like whimsy, these child-like spirits love to wander and explore a new world around them, learning about everything as they move along the way, and sharing their knowledge with those around them to give them stories of a lifetime.

Characteristics

Discorprolythids generally appear as a small speck of shadow, with a relatively fuzzy appearance, and two white, beady dots for eyes. They tend to hide inside of furniture, moulding it to their body as they are able to control it, and coming up with unique appearances through amalgamating the furniture that they have found on their journeys.

Discorprolythids are wondrous, joyous and loving creatures, while naive, they always attempt to remain kind to those around them. They never do anything out of pure anger unless they have been provoked to do so (or they’ve learned to enjoy such negative events), they pay attention to all details and love the little things.

Native Environments

Discorprolythids come from abandoned environments, far away from other locations and places, appearing in abandoned towns, homes, or unchecked loot from old ships. Discorprolythids are commonly accidentally bought from shady salesmen and sold as furniture, and while they don’t make the best furniture, they do certainly make a kind friend.

History

Discorprolythids do not have a history, as they are usually quite solitary creatures, however, due to their nature, it wouldn’t be too surprising to find out that they have been in the background of various important situations, whether they would understand the significance of that is more up to the individual rather then the whole race.

Society & Culture

Discorprolythids tend to be fairly solitary, usually due to being born alone, they tend to stick to themselves, until they encounter others, then they stick to others as quickly as they can, being loyal to their friends, the Discorprolythid race doesn’t have an exact culture, but like to copy off of others and what they do.
